Finally bought a good inspection camera for those tight spots

Dropped about $350 on a Milwaukee M12 inspection camera last month. Used it yesterday to check for corrosion inside a wing spar on a Cessna 172 without pulling half the interior. Saved me at least two hours of guesswork and disassembly. Anyone have a favorite brand for these, or a trick for keeping the lens clean in greasy areas?

Man, I just don't get the hype for those pricey cameras. A good flashlight and a dental mirror on a stick cost maybe twenty bucks and do the same job 90% of the time. I've seen guys waste more time fumbling with the wireless feed and charging the thing than it would take to just pull a cover plate. That fancy camera isn't finding problems your basic tools and some experience wouldn't catch.

You're right about the fumbling, but sometimes that wireless feed saves my neck. Good tip from robinp72 on the lens wipes though.

I read a review saying the lens wipes for glasses work great on those greasy camera lenses.
