PSA: The aviation museum in Dayton had a sign that made me laugh
I was at the National Museum of the USAF last weekend and stopped by the restoration hangar. They have a big sign on the door that says, 'If you can read this, you are not working.' It was right next to a B-17 they're fixing up. I stood there for a good five minutes just watching them fit a new panel. Made me think of all the times I've been deep in a wheel well and someone asks if I'm busy. Anyone else run into funny shop signs or museum displays that hit a little too close to home?

You're overthinking a joke sign by a mile. It's just a funny way to tell people not to bother the crew while they're focused. The whole point is that you're so into the work you don't even see the door. How did you miss that?

That sign always struck me as a bit off. It makes the work sound like a chore you want to escape from. When I'm deep in a project, I'm not trying to avoid reading signs, I'm just focused. Doesn't that framing sell the craft short? It's more about being in the zone than avoiding work.
