Went back and watched Cowboy Bebop after 15 years and it hit different now
I first saw Cowboy Bebop back in high school around 2008 on Adult Swim. Back then I thought it was cool because of the space fights and Jet's big metal arm. But I rewatched it last month now that I'm in my 30s and Spike's whole story about running from his past just felt way more real. The episode where he visits that old friend from the syndicate made me stop and think about people I haven't talked to in years. The soundtrack still holds up but the loneliness of the characters is what stuck with me this time around. Has anyone else had a show completely change meaning for them after a long break?

Oh man, @the_ray you're probably still young enough that the biggest rewatch change is realizing how bad your early 20s fashion was. Honestly I feel like the show just hits harder when you've got your own regrets to compare to Spike's.
