Hit a personal record on my water storage today - 55 gallons in the garage
I spent the last week debating between buying another 55-gallon drum or going with a bunch of 5-gallon jugs instead... ended up grabbing four 5-gallon jugs because they're way easier to move around. Stacked them against the wall and they fit perfect next to my canned goods shelf. Has anyone else found that mixing container sizes works better for your setup?

Mixing sizes is fine but I'm not sold on those 5-gallon jugs... they take up way more floor space per gallon than a single drum does. Plus you have to move four containers instead of just one when you rotate water. A drum on a dolly is pretty easy to roll around.

True but those 5-gallon jugs stack under my workbench where a full drum just won't fit.

Honestly, is it bad that my first thought was "at least the 5-gallon jugs are easier to drop on my foot"? I've never managed to drop a full drum, but give me a jug and I'll find a way.
