Rant: Samsung dryers have gotten worse since 2020
I was out in Anaheim last Tuesday working on a 2023 model that threw a tumbling error code on its third use. The control board was dead and it took two weeks to get a replacement part from the distributor. Has anyone else noticed these newer models failing way faster than the old ones?

Is it really that big of a deal though? One bad batch of control boards doesn't mean all new dryers are junk. I've got a 2022 model and it's been running fine for two years now with no issues.

Wait wait wait, you're saying a 2022 model is "old" enough to be a solid testament? Those things have barely been out for a hot minute, I wouldn't call two years some kind of gold standard for reliability. I've seen people with 2021 units already needing a full board replacement, not just a "bad batch" issue. Are we really pretending a couple of years is a long-term test now?

Maybe it's just me but I'd ask @grace_white to hold my beer while I explain how my 2023 model's control board died after three whole loads of laundry. Three loads. That's not even a full week of towels. My 2012 Samsung dryer is still out in the garage running fine on its original parts, meanwhile the new one is basically an expensive paperweight. The_ryan you got lucky but I'd rather not gamble $800 on a dryer that might decide to take a nap mid-cycle just because the moon is in the wrong phase.
