A squirrel got into my climbing gear bag at a park job in Austin

Last Thursday I was setting up for a removal at Zilker Park and left my bag open for maybe 10 minutes while I scouted the tree line. When I came back, a fat gray squirrel had pulled out my throwline cube and was sitting on it like a throne, chattering at me every time I got close. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for it to bounce, and now I keep a bungee on the bag, but has anyone else had critters mess with their gear mid-job?

Sitting on your throwline cube like a throne, that squirrel probably thought it was the king of Zilker Park. I've had a raccoon swipe my lunch before, but at least it had the decency to leave the gear alone. Next time just bring a bag of peanuts and negotiate, way cheaper than waiting around for a furry dictator to finish its shift.
