Spent $150 on a cheap pruning saw that barely cut green wood
I picked up a no-name pruning saw off Amazon last month thinking I was saving money compared to the Silky brand. The teeth dulled after three cuts on a live oak branch and it kept binding up in the wood. Anyone else had luck with budget saws, or should I just stick with a known brand from now on?

Fiskars is solid, I got one for $25 and it still cuts clean two seasons later.

Grabbed a Fiskars lopper cheap from a garage sale once, paid five bucks for it. Thing looked beat up but after I sharpened it up and oiled the pivot it cuts through branches like butter. Still works great years later, guess sometimes the ugly ones just keep going.

I bought a 'heavy duty' pruning saw from some random brand on sale for $40 and the thing literally bent on the second cut through a maple branch lmao. The handle snapped off too, guess that's what I get for being cheap. You're way better off just grabbing a Corona or even a Fiskars for like $30 and it'll actually cut without fighting you the whole time.
