Spent $210 on a pole saw last spring and it paid for itself in one storm cleanup

I was on the fence about dropping that much on a Stihl, but after the ice storm hit our neighborhood in March it cleared every downed limb in my yard plus three of my neighbor's. Anyone else find a tool that turned out to be worth way more than you expected?
