Yeah, "document the damage" is key (been in that exact spot). I always took photos and wrote notes right on the bag labels.

Ugh, that's the worst. Like @juliah94 said, photos on the labels saved me, but I switched to waterproof ones after the rain ruined my notes once.

Been there. Make sure you document the damage thoroughly for the next crew.
