That 5-minute laundry hack I found on a random blog saved me $30 a month

I was spending way too much on dryer sheets and they made my shirts smell weird after a few washes. This blog said to use a ball of aluminum foil in the dryer instead, which sounded fake but I tried it. Has anyone else done this and noticed it actually works for static or am I just getting lucky?

I was a total skeptic about the foil ball thing for months, thought it was just another internet myth. My wife tried it first and I laughed at her, but after a few weeks I noticed our clothes had way less static cling. Now I actually use one in every load and I haven't bought dryer sheets in over a year. Did you notice any difference in how long your clothes take to dry with the foil in there?

My buddy Mike tried it and said his towels came out a little fluffier, not faster.
