Warning: I hit 1,000 unanswered questions in my notes app and it scared me
I counted them last week while bored on the couch and realized I had been saving stuff like "how do traffic lights sync" and "is a hotdog a sandwich" for 3 years instead of just asking, so what is one weird question you have been sitting on that you never looked up?
How many of those thousand questions would actually take you less than two minutes to answer if you just typed them into a search bar? That's the trap, you keep adding to the pile because saving the question feels productive but it's really just procrastination with extra steps. Here's what worked for me when I had a giant list of random stuff built up: set a timer for 20 minutes once a week and kill off ten questions. Not all of them, just ten. Most of mine took one search and I felt dumb for sitting on them for years, and the few that didn't have a quick answer got cut from the list entirely because if I didn't care enough to dig, it wasn't worth keeping. The list shrinks fast when you stop treating every question like a big project.
