Moon phases in 3 days, blew my mind comparing my old shots

I was going through my hard drive last night and found photos of the moon I took on the 14th and then again on the 17th. The difference in the terminator line was way more dramatic than I ever noticed in real time. The shadows on the craters near Tycho shifted so much that the whole surface looked like a different place. I guess I never really paid attention to how fast the angle changes over just a few days. Has anyone else tried stacking their own moon shots across a week to see the progression? I'm tempted to do a full month sequence now.
