I had to pick between signing a petition to get her old books pulled or just ignoring the whole thing. I chose to ignore it because her problematic novel from 1998 is a product of its time, not a guide for today. The online mob wanted her gone, but I think we lose important context when we erase past work. Has anyone else refused to join a cancellation campaign for an older creator?

For years I refused to use one, thinking writing them down was fine. Then someone got into my Capital One account from a data breach on a site I reused a password on. Serious question, has anyone else moved away from 3D modeling for simple layouts?

At a big trade show in Chicago last year, I watched a guy draft a full commercial kitchen layout on a 2D CAD program in under an hour. Everyone around me was talking about 3D being the only way, but his speed and clarity were amazing. I've been using 2D for basic plans ever since and my shop time has dropped by about 20%. Question about picking a base city versus full travel mode

I had to make a big choice last month between setting up a long term base in Medellin or keeping my stuff in storage and moving to a new country every 30 days. I picked the base city because I was tired of the constant visa runs and packing. It went okay for work focus, but I'm already feeling stuck after just 6 weeks. My rent is $850 a month for a nice apartment, but I miss the feeling of a new place. The local digital nomad cafe is great, but it's the SAME one every day. Has anyone else tried the 'base' method and then felt the itch to move again? What did you do?

Pro tip: I swapped to a 5W-40 synthetic in an old 7.3 Powerstroke and it got louder

My '96 F-250 with the 7.3 was always a bit noisy, but I figured a full synthetic Rotella T6 might quiet it down. I was running a new drop to unit 4B in that old brick building on Elm Street last Tuesday. This elderly guy, Mr. Henderson, watched me fish the line down the wall chase for like twenty minutes. When I got the signal locked, he just smiled and said, 'Son, you're a regular wire wizard.' It was such a small thing but it made the whole sweaty crawl space thing worth it. A customer swore his old Nikon's shutter was fixed by leaving it in a freezer overnight

He brought in an F3 with a sticky curtain and said he'd already tried the 'freezer trick' he read online. I was sure it was nonsense, but after checking the usual fixes, I gave it a shot in my own freezer for about 12 hours. To my shock, the shutter started firing smoothly at all speeds the next morning.
