Rant: The delivery driver had a point about my buffer technique
I was polishing a black sedan in the shop bay, and the delivery guy dropped off some supplies. He paused and said the buffer was leaving swirl marks because I was moving too fast. At first, I brushed it off, but later I saw the marks under the light. I slowed down my passes and the finish came out mirror smooth. That small talk made me rethink how I handle every detail job now. It's funny how someone outside the trade can spot something you miss. Since then, I've paid more attention to speed and pressure. My work has improved, and customers say it looks great.

Slowing down changed my results too.

Totally! I rushed through my bread recipe last week and got a sad, dense loaf, @finley_nguyen17. Let it rest properly the next time and it was like night and day, so light and fluffy. Really makes you see how rushing just ruins the good stuff.

Ugh, yes! We never want to wait, but it's everything. I ruined so many cakes by being impatient (skipping that room temp step for butter and eggs is a killer). The waiting feels like doing nothing, but it's actually the most important part.
