Spent 8 hours on a dent that took 20 minutes once I stopped overthinking it
Had a customer bring in a Honda Civic with a rear quarter panel crease that looked straightforward. I kept chasing the high spot with my hammer and dolly, but every pass made it worse. After 8 hours of fighting it, my coworker walked over and said why aren't you using a stud welder and slide hammer on the low area. Did that, pulled the dent in 3 pulls, and finished the filler work in 20 minutes. Anyone else have a job where the obvious tool was right in front of you the whole time?

Idk, 8 hours seems like a stretch for one dent.
