Watched a guy at a car show in Bakersfield fix a dent with a heat gun and a can of air
I was at a small car show in Bakersfield on Saturday and a guy had a golf ball sized dent in his rear quarter panel from a shopping cart. He pulled out a heat gun and a can of compressed air, warmed the panel for maybe 90 seconds, then sprayed it upside down and the metal popped right back out. I stood there with my coffee feeling like I'd been doing things the hard way for 15 years. I know it only works on certain panels and the paint was already flexing, but I tried it on a scrap fender in the shop Sunday and it actually worked. Any of you use this on customer cars or is it just a driveway trick for stuff you don't care about?
