Saved $300 shipping my Civic from Phoenix to Denver by putting a 'free tow' ad on a trucker forum
I posted on a forum for long haul drivers saying I'd pay $350 cash if anyone had an empty spot on a return run, and a guy hauling RV parts called me 2 days later because he was deadheading back to Denver anyway and just wanted gas money, so has anyone else tried just asking truckers directly instead of going through a broker?
