Just read a crazy stat about composite aircraft and lightning strikes
Found an FAA report saying a composite airframe can have over 300 separate electrical bonding checks after a strike. I always thought it was just a few big paths. How do you guys even start that inspection process?

That "300 separate checks" thing. It's not like they check each one after every strike. Those are just the points that exist. The inspection process starts with a visual scan for burn marks, then they test a sample of the most critical bonds. Still a ton of work, but not 300 full tests every single time.

Man, that's wild. It's like how everything's more complex than it looks from the outside, you know? Makes you wonder what else we all assume is simple but has a ton of hidden steps.

My coffee maker has like 37 parts just to make brown water. We use stuff every day with zero clue how it works. It's a miracle anything gets made at all. The whole world runs on stuff we don't see.
