That engineer on the ramp last Tuesday wouldn't let me touch his G1000
I was swapping a pitot probe on a King Air at KSDL and this fresh engineer from Cessna kept hovering telling me not to break the glass cockpit wiring. He literally stood there for 45 minutes watching me crimp three connectors and said I was doing it wrong even though Ive done this 100 times. Has anyone else dealt with factory reps who act like you've never seen an airplane before?

Those factory guys act like they invented electricity or something.

Right because being the one to flip a switch after someone else did all the wiring and maintenance is basically the same as discovering the entire field of electromagnetism, @blake322. They stand around nodding at the humming machines like they personally wrestled the electrons into submission. Meanwhile the guys who actually installed the panels and ran the conduit are just invisible ghosts. It's the same energy as the guy who buys a house and then acts like he built it from scratch. But hey, let them have their moment. The loudest people usually need the most credit for the least amount of work.
