Update: My bench went from a 2 hour wire harness mess to a 30 minute clean install after I finally built a proper jig
I spent a whole afternoon in the hangar cutting and labeling some scrap plywood to match the connector layout, and now routing those 50-pin bundles for the G1000 retrofit is actually enjoyable, so what's your go-to method for keeping harnesses organized during a big mod?

Sounds like a lot of work for some wires.

That's a huge improvement, nice work. Do you leave the jig on the bench as a permanent fixture now, or do you break it down and store it once the harness is done? I've seen guys do it both ways, but I'm never sure if keeping it around for future work is worth the shop space it takes up.

Yeah, the shop space thing is real. I broke mine down last time and instantly regretted it when I had to make a small change. Now it just lives in the corner, taking up a permanent residency.
