My date at the aquarium turned into a 45-minute rescue mission when my scarf got sucked into the penguin exhibit's filtration intake.

We were leaning on the rail watching the penguins when the end of my scarf dipped into the water and got yanked right in, and the staff had to shut down the whole zone to fish it out while my date just stood there awkwardly holding my purse.

Watched my cousin's brand new baseball cap sail off his head and into the sea lion pool once. The whole show stopped while a keeper in waders used a long pole to chase it around. It was a soaked, disgusting mess by the time they got it, and we got death stares from an entire stadium of annoyed parents and kids for the rest of the afternoon.

That poor staff member with the net, just fishing for soggy scarf bits for almost an hour. I bet your date has a whole new fear of loose clothing near water features now.
