My sister told me my 'awkward date' story from the Phoenix art walk was actually about me being a bad listener
She pointed out that I kept interrupting my date's story about her pottery class to talk about a similar exhibit I saw, which made me realize I turn conversations into competitions without meaning to... anyone else have a habit they didn't notice was ruining the vibe?

Wow, your sister really went for it huh? I get the self awareness thing but maybe you were just excited and the stories were linked. Does one awkward moment really mean you're a "bad listener" forever? Seems like a pretty harsh label for what was probably just an overeager chat. What did your date say about it after?
