Dropped $80 on a broken link checker tool and it actually paid off in 3 days

I bought a subscription to a broken link checker for $80 and found 12 dead backlinks on my top landing page. Reached out to the site owners and got 9 of them replaced or updated. Anyone else find a tool that actually made your link building easier?

Did you end up paying more for the tool than the value of those 9 links though? $80 could've bought you a month of a better tool that actually finds link opportunities instead of just fixing dead ones.
