My brother got me a 'World's Okayest Sister' mug for Christmas and it still stings 2 years later
So back in December 2022 at our family's gift exchange in Cleveland, my older brother hands me this mug that says 'World's Okayest Sister' in gold letters. He thought it was hilarious but I honestly felt kind of insulted, like why not just say 'good' or 'pretty good' instead of 'okayest'? I use it every morning for coffee just to prove I can take a joke, but every time I see it I remember how he laughed way too hard when I opened it. Has anyone else gotten a gift that was meant to be funny but ended up feeling a bit mean?

That brother of yours really knows how to pick a gift that keeps on giving, doesn't he? Two years and it still stings shows he hit a nerve on purpose. Did he ever explain why he picked that specific mug or did he just think the word "okayest" was the peak of comedy? Using it every morning sounds like a weird kind of punishment you're giving yourself, honestly. Maybe it's time to accidentally drop it and get yourself a mug that says "World's Best Sister" instead. What would he say if you showed up next Christmas with a "World's Most Annoying Brother" mug for him?

Why would you want a boring "World's Best Sister" mug though? The "okayest" thing is ACTUALLY funny because it's a running joke between siblings, not some generic compliment from a Hallmark store.
