My dad once "thawed" a roast in the microwave for three hours instead of the fridge.

Three hours in a microwave, that's a whole new level. It reminds me how we all have these weird shortcuts we take because we just want things to be easy and fast. Like how people will buy a fancy air fryer but still burn frozen pizza, or how my neighbor uses Google Maps to drive to the grocery store two blocks away. We're all just looking for the quick fix even when the simple way would work better, and sometimes it backfires in the most ridiculous ways.
