Appreciation post: my scale was off by 14 grams and I chased it for a week
Last Tuesday I noticed my sandwich loaves kept coming out dense, so I weighed a 500 gram test weight on the counter scale at my place in Dayton and it read 514. I swapped in a $12 pocket scale, checked the old one against a full cup of water three times, and the readings drifted a little more each pass. Turned out the little feet were bent from getting knocked around in the drawer. Anyone else had a cheap scale go bad without any warning, or do you just replace yours on a schedule?
