Vent: my proofing box broke so I used my car with a bowl of hot water and it actually worked
My dough wasn't rising last Saturday because my proofing box died and the kitchen was sitting at 63 degrees. I put the bowl on the passenger seat of my Civic with a pot of hot water and a towel over it, and 45 minutes later it had doubled just like normal. Has anyone else done the car proof trick, or am I the only one parking in the driveway to bake?

Wow, a pot of hot water in a car, that's just a fancy warm spot, not exactly rocket science.
