Last Tuesday was the absolute worst baking day I've had in 3 years
I tried making a classic French baguette and everything that could go wrong did. The starter was super sluggish even after 12 hours, then I forgot to score the dough before it went in the oven. It came out looking like a flat lumpy potato with zero crust. Then my oven thermometer showed it was running 40 degrees low the whole time. Has anyone else had a day where you should have just given up and ordered takeout instead?

Haven't we all had those days where the kitchen just seems cursed? A sleepy starter and an off oven is a brutal combo, I really feel for you. Sometimes the best move is to call it a loss and order a pizza.
