Getting my offset smoker to hold 225 degrees in January wind was a two-day nightmare

I thought adding more charcoal would fix it, but the real answer was building a windbreak from old pallets. Who else has a cold weather trick that actually works?

Ever try wrapping the whole thing in a welding blanket? That plus some bricks on the lid got me through a Chicago winter.

Got a link to that blanket? Need something heavy duty.

So you basically built a shed for your smoker? I'm surprised the whole thing didn't just blow away.
