My buddy's new girlfriend tried to coach me on smoke rings at my own cookout. Whole vibe got weird.

My last smoke ring attempt looked like a dying jellyfish. Honestly I could've used the coaching, but not from my friend's date at my own grill. Some skills are better left untaught in the backyard.

Did your buddy say anything while she was coaching you? How did he handle his girlfriend stepping in like that?

Was the coaching really that bad, or did it just feel awkward because she was new? Sometimes people are just trying to be friendly and it comes off wrong. I've seen way bigger grill crimes than someone giving tips.
