Vent: I spent $400 on a fancy pellet grill and it's just not the same

Everyone says they're set and forget, but the smoke flavor is weak compared to my old offset. I did a brisket last weekend and the bark was okay, but the meat itself just tasted like roast beef. I followed the manual and used premium pellets, too. It's convenient for sure, but it feels like cheating and the results show. Has anyone else gone back to charcoal or wood after trying one of these?
