Binging a detective show turned me into a home sleuth
I got so deep into a mystery series that I started seeing clues everywhere in my apartment. When my fridge light went out, I used tips from the show to check the bulb and found it was just loose. Now I joke that binge watching fixes more than just boredom.

Ever solve any other mini mysteries that way? I once tracked down a weird rattle in my kitchen for two days, turned out to be a loose screw in a cabinet hinge.

My old car had this high-pitched whine over 50 mph. The garage quoted like $800 to find it. I spent a weekend checking everything myself, belts, bearings, even the exhaust. Finally crawled underneath and found a tiny heat shield bolt was barely loose. Tightened it with a wrench I had, and the noise just stopped. Felt like a genius for about five minutes.

That loose screw hunt sounds way too familiar. I had a weird clicking in my car that I was sure was a major suspension issue. I spent a whole afternoon trying to find it, even bought one of those mechanic's stethoscopes. I finally gave up and took it in, totally ready for a huge bill. The guy found a pebble in the tire tread in about ten seconds. I paid for an oil change just to feel less stupid about the whole thing.
