I finally tried that show everyone at my old office kept quoting

My coworker in Chicago said 'it gets good after season 2' and I just don't have that kind of time. What's a show that hooked you from the very first episode?

Honestly, my attention span is like a bad spark plug. The show "Severance" had me from the weird first office scene, no warm-up needed. Maybe it's just me but I can't do the whole 'wait for it to get good' thing.

That opening scene was such a perfect hook, right? So what happens when a show doesn't grab you like that? Do you just drop it forever, or is there a point where you might give something a second shot if enough people say it pays off?

Depends on the show. Some things just need a few episodes to find their footing. I gave "Parks and Rec" another try after season one, and it became a favorite. But if a show feels like a chore by episode three, I'm out. Life's too short for bad TV.
