I picked The Bear over Shogun for my weekend binge and now I'm too stressed to sleep.
I chose the frantic kitchen drama because I heard it was fast-paced, but after 5 episodes straight, my heart is still racing and I need a chill show to watch next.

Nah, lean into it! That stress is the whole point, put on another episode and ride the adrenaline.

Episode 3 with the printer scene and the sauce spill had my blood pressure through the roof too. Have you ever actually worked in a busy kitchen, or does the chaos just hit different when you're watching it from your couch? I feel like people who've done that kind of work either find the show hilarious or need a therapy session after each episode. The British baking shows are a solid pick though, somehow watching people calmly fail at a genoise sponge is way more relaxing than screaming chefs.

Oh man, I did the exact same thing last month! That show is pure stress fuel (in a good way, but still). What finally calmed my brain down was putting on an old nature documentary, the kind with the super quiet narrator. It was like hitting a reset button after all that yelling in the kitchen. Something slow and pretty with no real plot to follow just works for me. Maybe try that, or one of those gentle British baking shows where the worst thing that happens is a soggy bottom.
