My neighbor made me watch a show I'd skipped for years

I was talking to my neighbor Dave last Tuesday, and he asked if I'd seen 'The Good Place'. I told him I'd skipped it because I thought it was just a silly sitcom. He said, 'No, it gets deep... it's about what it means to be a good person.' I binged the whole first season in two days and he was totally right. Anyone have a show you avoided that you ended up loving?

Oh man, this happens to me all the time. I'll write something off for a dumb reason, like its title or a bad first trailer. I thought "Parks and Rec" was just a copy of "The Office" and refused to watch it for years. My friend finally made me sit through the first season, and now it's my comfort show. It's funny how we can be so sure about something we know nothing about.
