Years ago, I'd binge a whole series in one sitting. These days, I pause for stretches to avoid back pain.

I read a study last year that said the average Netflix session is now under two hours. It totally tracks with this. I used to crush an entire season of something in a weekend, but now a ten episode show can take me a month. It's not just the back pain, it's my neck and eyes too. The physical discomfort just makes it impossible to stay glued to the screen for that long anymore. Getting old is realizing your body has a timer for everything, even watching TV.

For that neck and eye pain, try setting a timer to stretch every hour, it works!

Yeah, that line about your body having a timer for everything really hit home. I used to marathon mystery shows all night, but now if I watch more than two episodes, my lower back is screaming and I get a tension headache behind my eyes. It feels like my whole body just shuts down the fun after a certain point. I have to get up and walk around the living room just to reset.
