Just logged my 500th native plant sighting and honestly it changed how I see my own yard
I hit 500 species recorded on iNaturalist yesterday, mostly from a 10 mile radius around my place in Richmond. What got me is that 40 of those were right in my own backyard strip Ive been mowing for 15 years. I only started paying attention after a neighbor pointed out the milkweed I kept weed whacking. Has anyone else found that once you start cataloging locally you basically cant stop, and do you have a number where it clicked for you?
