Spent $75 on a soil moisture meter and it saved my fiddle leaf fig from my own dumb watering habits
I kept killing houseplants by guessing when to water, so two months ago I finally bought a $75 soil moisture meter after losing my third fiddle leaf fig in a row. Turns out my "dry" soil was still soaked three inches down, and the meter showed me I was watering twice as often as I should. Does anyone else use one of these, or do you just stick your finger in the dirt and hope for the best?
