I used to think ABM was just rebranded lead gen until I ran a pilot

Last quarter my team ran a 6 week ABM pilot on 50 target accounts while keeping our usual lead gen going on another 50 as a control. By week 4 the ABM group had 3x the meeting rate but half the total volume. I was skeptical at first because it felt like fancy terminology for what we already did, but seeing those accounts move through pipeline faster changed my mind. Has anyone else had that moment where the data made you flip on a strategy you were sure was overhyped?

Vent: Leveling switches on every other car but skipping mine

Caught the night crew adjusting door locks on 6 different cabs while leaving mine with a 2 inch misalignment at the 14th floor because they assumed the old shim setup was fine, so can someone explain why taking 10 extra minutes on a known problem car never happens until a passenger gets stuck?

Why nobody warns you about mixing wet mud brands on the same job

Used to grab whatever joint compound was cheapest until last month when I mixed USG and ProForm on a ceiling in Phoenix and ended up peeling tape off 4 sheets after it wouldn't cure right - has anyone else had that screwup or just me?

Switched from a monthly overview to a weekly spread and it actually works better for me

Honestly, I was team monthly overview for like a year because I liked seeing the whole month at once. But after missing two deadlines in March because I couldn't fit enough detail in those tiny boxes, I finally tried a weekly layout with columns for each day. Ngl, it's way easier to track my tasks and appointments now without squinting at cramped handwriting. Has anyone else switched from one layout to another and found a big difference?

Warning: I thought the 'green flash' at sunset was a total myth until I saw it myself from a beach in Oregon last August.

I was just packing up my camera gear when a tiny but super bright green spot popped right above the sun for maybe a second, and my cheap 70-300mm lens actually caught it.

I thought those cheap plastic guards were a waste of money until a client asked for a specific fade pattern.

A regular came in last month and showed me a picture from a magazine, wanting a very sharp, defined line in his fade. I usually just freehand everything, but I dug out an old set of plastic guards I bought for maybe $15 years ago and never used. I tried the half-guard to set the initial guideline, and it gave me a perfect, clean base to work from that I could never get as consistent by eye alone. It completely changed how I approach those super crisp skin fades now. Do any of you have a favorite guard or tool you were surprised by?
