My $40 thrifted pressure cooker blew a gasket yesterday
Was making lentil soup for the week when the lid shot off and sprayed hot beans all over my kitchen ceiling. Has anyone else had luck replacing those rubber rings or should I just toss the whole thing?

Found replacement rings on Amazon for like eight bucks and it worked great!

Hot beans all over my kitchen ceiling" is a sentence I never expected to relate to so hard. I had a similar blowout with an old pressure cooker and ended up just buying a new one because the replacement ring cost almost as much as the whole thing. How bad is the dent in your ceiling from what I assume is a lentil crater?
