That discount bulk spice haul I did turned out to be a total flop
I bought a big jar of paprika from the discount store thinking I saved like $4. Got it home and it had basically no flavor at all, just reddish dust. I tried using double the amount in my chili last week and it still tasted flat. Anyone else get burned by those cheap spice deals? I'd rather just pay full price at the regular grocery store now.

Funny how that works, isn't it. Same thing with just about everything that comes with a "deal" attached - you end up paying twice in the long run. Cheap tools snap the first time you put any real torque on them, discount trash bags split open when you're hauling them out, and bargain bin spices are basically just colored dust with no soul. Learned that lesson the hard way with a bulk bag of cumin that smelled like old cardboard. Sometimes saving a few bucks upfront just means you're buying disappointment you have to throw out later.
