Dropped my whole weekly spread because the pen bled through 5 pages
I was at my kitchen table last Tuesday making a simple tracker column and one pen just ruined the whole right side of my journal, so now I test every new pen on the back page before I write anywhere important, anyone else had a favorite pen turn on them out of nowhere?

Man, did all that testing actually save your pages or just waste time?

There's nothing worse than a pen you trusted for months suddenly deciding to betray you like that. My go to gel pen was fine for about six months and then one day it started leaving these little ink puddles on the page that took forever to dry. Now I keep a stack of sticky notes on my desk and I scribble a few lines on one before I write in the journal itself. The sticky note catches any problem before it reaches the good paper. I also started writing with a light hand at the top of the page for the first few lines just to see if the ink is acting up that day. It's a pain but it beats having to tear out half the week's entries.
