One kid pointed at my monthly habit tracker and said, 'Mister, that's just a fancy chore chart.' Has a simple layout ever made you question your whole system?

My own weekly spread got that same look from my nephew last month. It really does cut through the noise.

Honestly, that kid nailed it. We spend so much time making things look pretty and giving them serious names, but at its core, a habit tracker is just a list of things you want to remember to do. It made me realize I was tracking things I didn't even care about, just to fill the boxes. Sometimes a simple, blunt observation cuts right through all the fluff. I had to go back and ask myself what I was really trying to keep track of.
