Showerthought: my bullet journal used to be a mess of sticky notes and crossed out lists
About three years ago, my journal was just a notebook where I scribbled tasks and appointments with no real system. The change started when I watched a video on the basic bullet method and decided to try it for a full month. I set up a simple index, future log, and daily rapid logging, and it finally clicked. Now, everything from my work schedule to my kid's soccer games is in one place and I can actually find stuff. Has anyone else had a simple method change make that big a difference?

Seriously, a notebook is that life changing? It's just writing things down in a different order. My phone calendar works fine and doesn't need a special pen.

Ever try to remember an idea you had in a meeting while your phone was off? Writing it down sticks better in your brain than typing. That's the real difference, not just the order.

You're right about writing sticking better in the brain. I used to type everything on my phone, but I kept forgetting the details. Last month I started using a cheap notebook for meeting notes. The simple act of writing it out by hand makes me actually process the idea, so I remember it without checking my notes later. My phone is still for alerts, but the notebook is for things I need to keep in my head.
