Switched from a weekly to a daily log for my work tasks and it's a game changer

I used to set up a big weekly spread every Sunday night, but by Wednesday I'd be scribbling in the margins. Last month, I tried just doing a simple daily log each morning, listing my 3-5 main painting jobs for the day. The difference is I actually finish the things I write down now, because I'm not trying to plan a whole week in advance. Has anyone else found that simpler is better for keeping up with daily work stuff?
