Found a political sticker that changed my mind about bumper politics
Last month I saw a truck in Austin with a massive 'Don't Tread on Me' sticker next to a rainbow flag and a pro-union decal. Everyone on this forum would probably mock it as inconsistent, but honestly it made me rethink my whole assumption that bumper stickers are pure identity signals. Three years ago I would have rolled my eyes, but after chatting with the owner at a red light for like 20 seconds, he explained he just picks causes he cares about individually. Why do we assume every bumper has to fit one tidy political box, and has anyone else met someone whose stickers forced you to reconsider your own take?
