My ISP's "business" plan was just a home router with a different sticker, and I only caught it after 3 months
I run a tiny 4 person print shop in Boise and switched to a $89 a month "business" internet plan in January because our uploads kept dying during big file sends. Last week the tech finally admitted the gateway they installed was the same model as my old home router, just with a business label on the box. Does anyone know a fiber provider that actually gives you a real SLA instead of a rebranded residential modem?
Watched a buddy go through the same thing with his bike shop, paying extra for a "dedicated" line that turned out to be the exact same box he had at home. He finally switched to a local fiber co-op and the install guy straight up showed him the SLA paperwork before signing anything.
