That cheap failover router I mocked actually saved our shop today
We run a small roofing office and I always thought those $80 dual-WAN routers were gimmicks, but after our main fiber line got cut by a backhoe on 5th Street at 9am this morning, the backup LTE kicked in before I even noticed the alert. Our job site tablets kept getting estimates and photos uploaded without a single hiccup, which is way better than the 3 hours we lost last spring during an outage. Anyone else running a budget failover setup and finding it holds up better than the expensive gear?
