Bought a $20 dehumidifier off Amazon and my basement went from swamp to dry in 3 days

I picked up this cheap dehumidifier because my basement smelled like a wet dog for months. After running it for 72 hours straight, I pulled out 2 gallons of water from the tank and the smell vanished. Has anyone else seen a huge difference from a budget appliance like that?

Got one of those cheap units too. Ran it for a weekend and pulled out way more water than I expected. The air felt lighter and less sticky. Basement smelled clean for the first time in years. Sometimes the budget stuff really works.

Did you notice the air actually felt drier on your skin too or was it more about the smell? I ask because some cheap dehumidifiers pull moisture but don't really change how humid the room feels. Wondering if the budget ones are decent enough for a smaller basement like yours.
