My $14 curtain rod solution took 6 weekends to figure out

I moved into a rental in Austin last fall and the bedroom window had these weird angled walls that made every standard curtain rod sit crooked. I tried those tension rods, then brackets, then command hooks, and finally gave up and just had no curtains for like a month and a half. After all that, I found an adjustable toggle bolt set at Home Depot that worked in like 10 minutes. Has anyone else wasted way too much time on a cheap fix that should've been simple?
